Visit the Scottish Highland Cattle in Adelboden. At the Blatti Hütte at VogellisiBerg, you will learn exciting information about the husbandry of Highland cattle, the advantages and disadvantages of keeping them or the differences to the native Simmental breed – this and much more is offered by the mountain farm experience at VogellisiBerg. Please wear good shoes, it can get wet and uneven.
Haymaking with the Hari family
Experience life on the alp at first hand? Discover what it means to be an alpine farmer at VogellisiBerg. For example, by helping with the haymaking – the mountain farm experience at VogellisiBerg offers this and much more. Please wear good shoes, it can get wet and uneven.
After the work is done, a small tasting platter with specially produced alpine specialities is ready for you. Together with spring water or hay tea a delicious conclusion.
Each participant can take a piece of Adelboden home with them: a piece of a fine dry sausage from the highland cattle is included in the price.
Optionally, you can combine the mountain farm experience with a family day in the scooterland Adelboden or a hike on the high-altitude hiking trail.

How to get to the highland cattles:
Variant 1:
From Adelboden Oey with the cable car Silleren to the middle station Bergläger. There change to the bus to Geils (please note the timetable). From Geils take the combined lift to Hahnenmoos. Duration approx. 45 minutes.
Then hike from Hahnenmoos to the Blatti Hütte, please follow the signs “Alperlebnis”. Walking time approx. 20 minutes.
Alternative 2:
From Adelboden Oey with the cable car Silleren to the Sillerenbühl mountain station, duration approx. 25 minutes. From there hike via the Floral Triail to Hahnenmoos. Duration of the hike approx. 1 hour.
Then hike from Hahnenmoos to the Blatti Hütte, please follow the signs “Alperlebnis”. Walking time approx. 20 minutes.
