This easy route takes you from Metschstand to the Brenggen reservoir lake and back, showcasing a diverse range of natural beauty along the way. Starting from Metschstand, which you can conveniently reach from Wednesday to Sunday via the Stand-Xpress gondola, you’ll immediately be captivated by breathtaking panoramic views of Simmental, the Plaine Morte, and Adelboden below as you follow the trail to Bummerepass.

The wide, easy hiking trail takes you past alpine huts and grazing cattle, leading towards the Hahnenmoos Pass before branching off to the left towards the Brenggen reservoir lake. The turquoise gem captures everyone’s attention, sparkling in countless shades of blue depending on the sunlight. No wonder this lake, which serves as a water reservoir for the ski lifts in winter, is a real highlight for photographers.
